Artists Statement

In “Pot of Gold,” I explore the sacred mathematics that underpin our universe, from the microscopic to the cosmic. This collection emerges from my fascination with how ancient sacred geometry symbols—representing the mathematical building blocks of creation—appear consistently throughout nature, art, and architecture across human history.

Working with fluid watercolour techniques allows me to surrender to organic processes, creating environments where control and chaos dance together. The addition of textural elements through plastic wrap and bubble wrap impressions introduces an element of planned serendipity—patterns emerge that I could never create by hand alone. Each piece contains a sacred geometry symbol rendered in gold leaf, representing the hidden mathematical perfection within apparent randomness.

Water and gold—fluid and fixed, chaos and order—create a dialogue throughout this collection. As viewers, we may recognize in these abstract forms both cellular structures and distant galaxies, flower petals and celestial bodies. This visual resonance across scale reminds us that the same mathematical principles organize both our bodies and the cosmos. Through this work, I invite viewers to contemplate how the sacred geometry of existence connects us to something greater than ourselves, revealing the extraordinary within the ordinary.
